mmm
I would think high school is a biggie
a new sibling
divorce or death
however it depends which areas you have covered and you have to be confident in your reasons

The diverse range of transitions faced by children and young people includes:
• starting or moving school
• puberty
• bereavement
• parents splitting up
• illness (their own or a parent’s or sibling’s)
• changing friendship groups
• entry to, or leaving, a pupil referral unit
• moving through child health services into adult services
• coming out as gay or lesbian
• leaving home.

I have to write a case study on a pupil that i have worked with, but i have recently moved from juniors year 6 to infants before being given this assignment. so i do not know the children as yet. can you tell me what type of things i will need to put in the study as i have never done one before.

Many thanks

I wish I could but all the children i have worked with have now gone to secondary school.

The child study is
Choose a pupil with whom you work and write a case study about them this is still in the understand child and young person development unit but dont know what they want as i have never had to do this before, so finding it difficult to know where to start

well I would guess (!) that they want a case study on how they developing relating it to the expected development of children in their age group e.g. have they been through any of the major upheavals listed by lms and how have they been affected by it.
I'm sure lms will have a better idea

Describe the development and any factors that have influenced it good or bad, any learning problems they may have. Use IEP's etc to back up what you are saying and use a child that you know and still have papwrwork for Wink
