Safeguarding assignment help needed.

Post by pinkleader on Thu Oct 11, 2012 5:08 pm

I work in a small village school and want this to be a big focus in my assignment. I want to discuss whether the fact that in schools like ours, the very close relationship between staff and parents and the local community aids our safeguarding, or in fact hinders it.

I can find loads to support parents as partners etc but I am really struggling to find documents/evidence suggesting that these relationships can hinder.

Does anyone know of any studies/advice/serious case studies which focus on small schools or parental involvement etc?

oh lord there was a case where a child was been abused but no-one in the school believed it because it was a three form school and the mum doing the abusing was the only lunchtime supervisor and a volunteer reader with children does this help i dont know which authority it was but we were given part of the review as an exercise about what should have been picked up

That is exactly the kind of thing I need. I'll have a google to see if I can find out the info on that case. Thank you.

Yes, I've tried searching for serious case reviews but just finding ones about school children as I can't search specific enough. I need report involving staff members or volunteers etc.
I'll keep looking.
