Woke up to a very light dusting this morning, but so much rain today that it's all gone. Very cold, though. Keep warm and safe everyone x

Loads of the white stuff today! started snowing at 4am this morning and has Just stopped now.
My oh has measured the fall at 4 inches.
Thankfuly uni is closed as I hate driving in snow far too risky !
Really annoyed at how some companies are forcing employees to risk their lives by insisting they make it into work this is no problem if you live within walking distance (Ellens b/f ) walked 8 miles into work this morning and half the managers werent even there !! hope to put some pics on here later . Hope everyone is staying warm xxxx

Freezing here and more snow predicted for today. Thankfully I have made it to work last week despite the ice and I hope that will be the same this week.

We have around 4 inches settled here and it is snowing again Sad So glad I don't have work today as my bus has been suspended! Too far to walk as well. We are predicted to have around another 5 cms plus

Well after an hours drive to work (usually 15 mins and 20 mins of that was getting out of the drive!) I arrived only to be told school was closed. So had a coffee there and set off home again. Bit of a hairy moment on the motorway when a lorry floated into my lane but all is well. Going to go through my assignment and then start studing again!!!

Blimey Helen thats poor organisation for a school !!!
We had a snowball system and staff were not allowed to set off for school until they were sure it was open and told by the ht (she sent texts)
    Thats so dangerous !!

alot of our staff live close to our school and walk in so i assumed we'd be open staff texts are sent after the parents texts tbh i think they forgot. but hey i have got my assignment written (just the refernce list to tweak and reading it I think I'll scrape a pass! You will hear the shout of joy if I do! I have had a horrendous time on this one

How on earth do you manage to write stuff so quickly Helen ?
    It
takes me weeks to write and even then its rubbish !!!!!

Our school always texted the staff first by 7am then a snowball system for the parents .

I've been 'writing' this for a fortnight - then dumping it all. I had loads of notes and had 'written' it a couple of times. I'm a really fast typer and this was my 'best' copy with the tweaks. It is not good, not enough reflection and critical evaluation but I've really struggled and know I cannot do any more. I was working on it for most of the day.

I hope it scores well for you Helen.
We had a lot of snow last night and the gritted path my hubby cleared for us is now covered again. Thankfully though it is quite mild out and will soon melt (I hope) so much so I have the window open. Very Happy

I love the cold and the snow. The whole place looks so pretty, to be honest I would like more snow and less rain!!! We would be more prepared.
