Autism comes with some difficulties right? But there are some awesome qualities too!!
1. You are never anything but yourself
2. You don't see the point in lying so rarely if ever do
3. Your interests are limited, but things you do like you give it100%
4. You notice things around you other don't realise are there
5. You achieve for yourself and don't seek it from others
6. You take people at face value
7. You never judge others
8. You may be blessed with superpowers!! Like bam maybe your senses are super tuned or you have an extraordinary talent
9. Being materialistic isn't something you understand
10. Although you may struggle socially, friendships you form are genuine and always honest

I've worked with autistic children for many years now and have a son with ASD. I have recently read a book by Temple Grandin "The way I see it". Temple has a Phd, she has Aspergers and written many books about animal behaviourism & Autism. I just wanted to recommend this book to anyone who works with ASD children. She shares many issues she had in education, growing up and now being an adult with Aspergers. I've found it to be a real insight into the world of ASD and a must read for anyone connected to it, whether in a supporting role in education or a family member diagnosed. I have just completed more training in ASD, completing a foundation accredited course and work as an 'ASD lead practitioner' for my school and I wished I'd read this years ago. Just wanted to spread the word because i've been overwhelmed with how she describes many of her behaviours, anxieties and sensory issues, just brilliant
