I have been attending a gcse english course for the last 4 wks and so far Im really enjoying it,The group is quite diverse with 4 polish speaking ladihes,1 man from Nepal,1 traveller and 3 uni students among others
The tutor is great and really goes out of her way to make the sessions fun as well as us learning what we need .
We have been working on language and how it is used in conversation;so for part of our exam we have to use 2 transcripts that we have recorded and annotated then use them as a basis to write 1500 words .
So next week we are planning our essay (100 words max) and the week after we will be actually doing it .
I have decided to write about how people percieve others according to accent (as a west country girl myself Im often the brunt of jokes )
And west country/cornish accents are seen as belonging to people of less than normal intelligence !!
Thinking this will give me plenty to write about Very Happy
